Press Juice Heat and Separation System

Steam-heating the press juice slurry drops oil viscosity by 30 %, letting the 3-phase centrifuge split more fat, stick-water and solids in one pass and raising total oil yield up to 5 %.  
One compact skid combines coil heater, dual juice tanks and 90 °C hot-water vessel, cutting footprint 25 % and feeding the decanter while also supplying CIP on shutdown.  
Continuous 60→90 °C pre-heat prevents protein denaturation, keeps pumps clog-free and reduces downstream emulsion, so the plant meets fish-meal FO grade with 30 % less energy.

Heat and Separation Process Description

The juice extracted by the press is heated in a heater, temporarily stored in a juice tank, and then fed into a horizontal centrifuge for separation to complete the refining process. The centrifuge separates the oil and protein water; the oil is pumped to a vacuum deodorizer where moisture is evaporated by heating to improve oil quality, and the finished oil is packed via an oil pump. The protein water is sent to a concentration system for further concentration.
